Question for the electrical experts

Hi guys not pin related but thought one of you guys maybe able to clarify. Would the transformer on the right be a suitable replacement for the one on the left ie would it be perfectly safe etc Ive no idea over than the specs are fairly similar ha

Yes perfectly fine. The voltage and plug polarity is the same (center +ve), and the current it can deliver is more than your old one, so bags of head room.
 
yes it’s higher spec. 1500mA = 1.5A. the other is 0.3A, so you are ok to use the one on the right as a replacement for the left one

both 12v just check they both put out the positive and negative on the same polarity on the plug. most do but not guaranteed. the positive is normally in the inner part of most power supplies round plug, the negative on the outer metal part.
