Hi all. Unfortunately I'm having to sell my project Shadow - I bought this earlier this year and haven't had the time to get it finished. I've bought another machine and have been reliably informed we're on one in one out, and if I don't stick to that I'll be the one going out...

First - the parts I've bought. I've attached photos of all of it, but you have most of the parts here to bring it to a really, really good looking Shadow. Parts I've bought include: Aurich Shadow Translite (these are unobtanium, don't have the speaker panel but I've got an XL Colour DMD so you couldn't fit both anyway), Original translite, 2 phurba dagger plastics, new wall plastic, new kicker arm for Sanctum, rubber set, sanctum decal, various plastic protectors, sealed plastics set from Marco, flasher caps, launch ball button, lollipops board (includes clear star posts and cable splitter), afterglow GI board, sanctum wireform, leg bolts, bag of (mostly white) LEDs, diverter, new battlefield and diverter stickers, XL ColourDMD with speaker panel (this thing is a work of art). I also bought the backbox boards (which wasn't cheap!) but you can see from the photos these have been installed. Also got a piece of acrylic cut to replace the backglass but haven't had time to check the fit.

Now - onto the machine. It's currently in a state of tear-down and you can see from the photos with the sandwich bags what I've removed from the playfield. If you want to see how the machine arrived, have a look at the original project for sale thread (https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/project-bally-williams-the-shadow.51744/) . I'm not sure of what extra parts you'll need but I know you need the 4 bank unit from the upper playfield. Ramp flaps will also need to be replaced and re-riveted. Pistol is missing and I think there are also a few missing rings and little mongol figures - assume you'll have to buy all of them. This is a project, assume you'll have to buy parts but most of it is here. Please ask me if I have any specific parts if you're interested in taking the machine. The list of parts needed is not exhaustive as I haven't had time to check - these are just the parts I know you'll need and I want the prospective buyer to not be surprised when the machine arrives. Just trying to be clear as possible. Cabinet is in the same condition as the original for sale thread - please look at that for reference.

Also comes with lockdown bar and glass.

You can see the machine turns on and goes to scroll through + attract mode. I've attached a picture of the fuse error message on startup.
Here's the test report: check switch 51 wall target down, check switch 55 battle drop down, time and date not set, err mini pfd bad check switches / mtr, err magnet opto is not working, err battle kicker opto not working, err wall tgt bad chk switch / coil, err drop bank bad chk switch / coil, err bat drop bad chk switch / coil
Please note these may not be all the errors but this is what the test report comes out with - I suspect some of these are easily solved but I just don't have the time.

Please PM if you have any questions. Looking for exactly what it owes me - £3600 with the ColourDMD or £3,200 without, but will consider offers. Ideally buyer would come inspect the machine before purchase to make sure they're happy. Hoping this stays in the community, just needs someone with the free time and space!

If you want to sell that widescreen panel let me know.

Dude, you can sell your games for whatever price you choose, but the last Shadow to sell on here was HUO and cost less than this one you're selling in parts with bits missing...

Fair enough, I asked on the how much is this worth thread and they said however much it owes me so listed at that. I'll drop it by £100 each day I reckon and let the market decide - I've spent a lot on extras. The last one before that that went was stock for £4,000 so with the extras I thought it was fair - we'll see!

Keep the parts or include them FOC as a forwarding gesture to the next custodian of the project.

Halve the price, then you've made a monkey for the work so far.

Or finish it off before the next one arrives, keep the wife sweet... 😆

Projects are always labours of love and rarely make you money compared to just buying complete.

Believe me the intention is to not make any money but just minimise how much I'll be losing...
Just going to drop the price each day and I'll see where that gets me.

Or why not complete the game and sell it fully working?
I'd love to, however there are two things - One, space. We can only fit three pins in the house and we currently own four...
Second - I'm moving away from the game in a few weeks and won't be back for 4 months - those left at the house don't know how to work on the machine so it would make more sense to get the three working machines in to the house and I also would prefer having the cash to purchase a machine I've been looking for for a while.

At the end of the day I want to avoid parting out what I've got as much as possible for both my own convenience and the next person to take it. I honestly believe there's a lot of value at the price I've listed it at - I'm actually losing £50 at its current price and a few people have PM'd me after just the XL DMD itself.

Can you produce a definitive list of what's missing, this would help with the sale?

Shame you won't be able to complete this.

Trouble with that is if I miss something I don’t want the new buyer to feel hard done by.

I think @SpiderPin has given a great description, it's inevitable something will be missed as he doesn't necessarily know what he's supposed to have, I've had a look at the description but not really the pictures:

4 bank drop target (unavailable) ballpark £150 if you can find one
Gun (unavailable) expect to pay £300+ (can be made functional with a launch button provided)
Rings says missing but 2 in the pics (2 x £35)
Mongol figures (2 x £30) - not required but added in as on machine
Miscellaneous budget £100
You may want new legs, you may want an overlay for the Sanctum wear

So expect to be able to do this for the cost of the game +£300 as a minimum but it will look a bit rubbish with a button and the old legs. You can't have it without the XLDMD as you're missing the panel entirely.

Don't expect it to be easy though as taking over someone else's work that has problems isn't great (no criticism of you @SpiderPin, just experience)

You can have it without the XL DMD - it’s the Aurich version I don’t have. The original panel and DMD are still there. I also have a Sanctum overlay. But thank you - I’ve seen a few of the target banks pop up on pinside so I know they’re out there.

Looks to be quite a bit of interest in that large DMD due to them not being able to be produced at the moment because of the chip shortage? Might be worth selling that separately in it's own thread, think it will sell fast.

I’ve been convinced - Shadow is staying and being finished. Some furniture will have to be “re-arranged” (in other news we’ve booked a trip to the dump) but Shadow stays. Thanks for everyone’s comments.
