Pop Bumper Mylar TAF

The Mylar inside the graveyard pop bumper area on my TAF is bubbling and has seen better days. I've been reading a few threads on how to remove it by 'freezing' but I was wondering if I should remove it at some point where I can purchase a pre-cut mylar piece like what the factory used?

If you get the existing Mylar off in one piece you could use it as a template to cut a new piece from a Mylar sheet.

Cuts very nicely with scissors.

Is the playfield a diamond plated one? If so do you even need to replace the Mylar in a home environment? I only ever put Mylar on if there is an area that is a high wear area like where a ball drops out a ramp

Yes Diamond Plate but I would consider the pop bumper / grave yard one of THE most high wear areas due to the speed that the ball moves around in there?

Wouldn't of thought in the home it wouldn't be a prob. Even my firepower 1980 has no pop bumper wear and that wasn't diamond coated or mylared neither was tz

Worth it for piece of mind but prob won't get any wear while u own it

Would you suggest taking the Mylar off and leaving it off? There's one teeny tiny bit of paint that looks like it has come off - it looks like the Mylar is the culprit for lifting the paint in the first place...

Put mylar back on. The action of the pops actually forces the ball down and scuffs the area underneath, that's why theres mylar there in the first place.
