would be cool to replicate the proper attract mode.
I've done that attract mode stuff on several playfields, but it takes some figuring out and is obviously bespoke to each playfield. It needs some coding doing, but I can supply the code for aplayfield I did as an example of what to do.
When I got the
24 playfields to go on the ceiling of my pin-room, I realised it was too much of a task to bespoke code
24 of them, so I wrote a generic playfield system. It produces loads of different pattern effects and colour combinations, and is so much easier to set-up and use.
I can offer both as options going forward. I'd recommend the generic as it's much easier to work with and no coding needed.
You are probably looking at £25-35 for a system that will control up to 100 leds on a playfield. A little more if there are more than 100.
I'll firm up price once I test some cheaper leds that I have ordered
The cheaper ones look like this - small and encapsulated: I need to check how bright they are.
The ones I have used many times are these:
System consists of 100 led string, esp32s controller with s/w pre-installed. 5V Mains adaptor. Esp32s socket, all connectors and wiring. Instructions.
All control is done via your smartphoe or laptop to wirelessly connect to the controller.
Wiring it up is just a case of glueing or stapling the LED's onto the playfield behind each insert.
The leds are wired with 100mm spaced wiring, so usually enough wire to get to the next insert. (If you need to go further, just waste a led or cut the wire and extend it).
The generic software will work right out of the box and will display many colourful pattern displays and you can configure which ones it shows and for how long etc.
Some patterns need to know which led is where on the playfield - so the s/w has a config tool that allows you to set each led's co-ordinates - this then allows patterns that move up or down the playfield, or left to right, right to left, etc. These are some of the best looking patterns, so it's worth mapping the playfield - but by no means necessary. (But if you are not going to map the playfield then may as well get a cheap controller and a string of 100 leds from aliexpress for about £7. )
Hope this helps.
