Need some Whirlwind plastics and uk wise seems very slim on the ground.

Looking at various Europe / US suppliers but am unsure what I need to consider quality wise.

Most state 'genuine 10-color ink silkscreened on laser cut PETG'.

Is this the kinda thing I'm after?

Also, could people recommend as well as warn against certain suppliers. Price wise they're close so quality is key.

I'm looking at:-

best of pinball - german supplier

Marco - think you all know.

pinballcenter

Classic playfields CPR

or are there any others you can comment on?

Thanks in advance

I've heard the CPR set is really nice, probably the best you will find available, and this is the one sold by most dealers at the moment. Try the UK dealers first to avoid import duties/taxes etc.

The only one of those I've bought from was Best Of Pinball. The plastics were shocking - I ended up just binning them as returning them to Germany was too much of an **** ache.

Saw this after buying a load of different plastics of BOP at the start of the week. Never been on their site before and the day after I ordered I saw the thread.

The box turned up today and I was dreading opening it after reading the thread. However, everything looks fine - maybe I've just got lower standards than others. I'd be surprised though if there were different plastic manufacturers as I'd guess the stores just act as distributors for the manufacturers. TAF slingshots could have been a bit better but I'd take the black smudges over my existing old faded pair.

Got some stickers for LAH as well, which came with a surprising "genuine bally" sticker on the back. Not quite sure how this works as it's DE product.
Anyway sticker quality looks good. Better than the poor print quality sticker I got from Pinball Center last time and far better than the ones that never turned up from Pinball Decal in the US (guess it went to the same place my refund went to as that never arrived either);)

Anyway all in all pretty happy with BOP. Would use them again. Seemed to have lots of plastics I couldn't find elsewhere and they sell individual plastics rather than having to spend £100 on a whole set.

I think someone at the time said BOP were getting some made by someone in Europe (Poland I seem to recall)...maybe he wasn't up to the job. They were dismal (pics were on the first version of the forum software I think, but can't find now and I don't have the originals) off centre holes, blurred images, bent, crappy thin plastic; can't remember all the details but defo a big pile of turd. I think I was not alone in the experience too, but this was probably 2010/2011 some time, and defo glad yours turned out good John - I suspect they have (maybe had?) various suppliers.

Put a few photos up if you can be bothered, it'd be good to see the quality ones you received :)

I bought repro planes for my IJ from BOP and they were awful. Both went in the junk drawer.
Other parts from them have been fine.

Think I'm gonna bite the bullet and get set from CPR.

I notice it's the same shipping on 4 plastic sets as one. Does any one what to jump in and split postage?
