One of the things i've noticed during the rebuild of R&B is that some of the coils have plastic sleeves the go over the wires once they're soldered back in place.
Typically it's the 'switch' side of the coil (sorry if that's not the technical term, but hopefully people will know what it means), but it's not on all of them. I've noted that the sling shot coils both had them fitted and there's probably another 3 or 4 coils with the same configuration.
I'm just curious if anyone knows what they are and why they're there? Would they have been fitted on all coils originally?
