Maybe I'm being overly cynical here, or missing something, but from a purely scientific-principle basis, I'd be asking a lot of questions about how effective it was as an air-conditioner (cooling) without a unit on the outside of the building to dissipate the heat - if it was as easy as blowing the heat out through a hole in the wall, it's hard to fathom why every other type of AC unit uses a unit outside the property.
And if the cooling isn't effective, then it's really just a very expensive electric heater which can be had for as little as £50..

I just use a really smart looking electric wall mounted heater and then also have a condenser dehumidifier going too. This keeps it at 12 degrees and 50% humidity when I am not in there and then I jack the heat up 18 when I am out there.
If you can afford it and fit it in, I would go with a proper air conditioning unit, as that will do both heat and cooling, as well as controlling humidity.

Haverland electric smart rads in mine set at 18 most of the time.....kick out the heat if needed. I open two small window in the summer months. Large bi-fold doors (with blinds) mean air conditioning not really needed. Never had an issue.

I have to agree with this, heat pumps work on the principal of transferring heat from one medium to another.
For example your fridge is a heatpumps, it produces cold inside by transferring the heat outside the unit.
Although it does say no outdoor unit, doesn't me tuon in the clip if it needs a pipe going outside like a tumble dryer.
Looked it up and there are two large holes that need drilling through the wall and another smaller one for the condensate pipe.
States a Cop of 4 so a lot more efficient that direct electric heating but will drop a lot once temperatures go into the minuses.
Actually might consider one of these for my shed as just use electric heaters at the moment and was considering a cheap air source heat pump but that would needing plumbing and radiators etc. , so thanks for the heads up

I just wear a thicker jumper
Claims it's 58db which is roughly normal conversation level. Could always turn it off when playing as the pins will keep the warmth in the room.
Hardest part of install is going to be drilling the two 180mm holes for the vents through a brick wall, just recently did a pair of 65mm ones for a heat pump install and it was a pain in the ass. Will be easier in my shed as it's timber frame.

Had this put up in the summer. Would of been lovely to put all my pins in there but alas looks like its going to be used for work in the nearer term.
Anyway had an LG aircon/heater put in. Was a bit sceptical about the heating side but it really does heat the space up quick.
Was about £1700 quid i think, probably overkill if you just want heat and not cooling.

These split AC units are superb.
We have one in our bedroom (Mitsubishi Electric) and no longer use the radiators.
We also have one in our main sitting room/ dining room/ kitchen thing, again Mitsubishi Electric. That has 2x radiators and 1x cast iron fancy dan stove. We only use the split AC unit.
I have just installed another one in a commercial building. This is a cheaper brand- Mitsubishi Heavy, but still has a 5 year warranty.
I have been using these things for 4 years and could happily sell them for a living. They are head and shoulders above other forms of heating imho. No footprint either so you don't waste floor space.
The cooling is basically a Brucey-Bonus, though without the Dolly-Dealers.
Some may fancy underfloor - and that does a lovely job. But you have buried pipework that could fail and be mega money to sort. I have experienced a hidden water leak this year and it proved very expensive.
If your AC leaks it evaporates - it does not cause thousands of pounds of damage and require very intrusive building work

It is toxic and an asphyxiant though so if it leaks into an un-ventialted room it can be dangerous.
