Pinfest problem - LOTR door

Hi

Just getting LOTR ready for Pinfest & I can't get the coin door open. The key only turns about 60 degrees, then stops. I have a locksmith mate coming round, but has anyone experienced this
& knows anything I can do while I'm waiting (or he should do when he gets here)?

Put it back to the closed position then see if you can extract the key. If you can then insert it again, wiggle it to ensure it's fully in and try again.

What type of key? flat or round/cylinder ?

Only time I’ve noticed this Judderman was when I first got my first machine. I didn’t have the lockdown bar fully down so when I tried to turn the key it was the hitting the handle underneath the lockdown bar.

I know this probably won’t be the case for you but worth mentioning.

Flat key - had done bucketloads of wiggling - and even a fair amount of jiggling, not to mention pushing & pulling. Persevering has got it open - could have done without this right now, but panic over.
