Ok I’m pretty sure if the answer to this question!!

Sorting through my spares I have which is lots!!
Must have maybe 10 complete rubber kits for pins I bought years ago and don’t have the pins now. Some are 8 years old others a few. Also maybe 300 rubbers different sizes.

My question is over time these degrade? Shall I just bin the lot and start fresh when I need them? What do it eat do with old rubbers? The same, bin of old but not used?

Thoughts?

Thanks
Steve

It depends on how they were stored. Quality rubber stored in brown paper bags and then in a closed box so that they are in the dark can last for ages. I still have Happ branded rubber from 20 years ago that looks feels and plays like new.

Sling them.on a window ledge in he sun in a plastic bag and they will be toast within a year.

Just inspect them and see what you think.

Thanks for the reply. All been stored in plastic bags and in drawers so never seen the light.

I will check through them.
