Ok I'm in the middle of a pinball restore of my Twilight Zone, and the decals would not be up to my standard quality wise (the ones I have came with the pin and no idea where from). So I was wondering where is the best place for decals for pins.

On the sides and front of the cabinet and also on the sides of the backbox is the best place for them.

And one on the pf glass to make it a more challenging game …………………..
What was wrong with them?
There about a half inch short on the back and the adhesive was not very strong.
Thats who i had planned on using next but wanted a second opinion
Defo, peteb on here, not decals but I've got alt translite and art sides blades from him, his backup is superb. Also he supports the underdog machines (like Hook) in front of the old favourites

Never seen any cab decals on his site but not surprised as I can never find anything on that site gave up on it a while back because I was ordering something one day and order did not process because the site under maintenance came back next day could never find the stuff again so left it. now I just get my parts from pinball mania and Germany. There stuff stays on the same page lol

Whatever I want from Pinball Heaven I just email Phil direct, never had a problem and always fast delivery.
What you also have to think about is if you ever come to sell your refurbished machine and it does not have the official decals installed then I for one would be wanting the real deal installed not a cheaper copy.
Except there are no official decals. People think that the PPS ones are official but that's only because he sticks a hologram on it. The printing is digital, not silkscreened like the originals, and there are numerous examples of how colours or even the artwork has been wrong.
I say put on whatever decals make you happy, but there's no such thing as official, unless its original prints from Stern or JJP for moden games.
You are correct on what you say.
It's just some of the cheaper copys are way off on the colours. The more expensive ones from planertry and classic arcades and TPF are closer to the originals and the quality is also better.

I still have a set for Twilight Zone from Pheonix.
He still has a set on EBay.. but $440 for the sides $80 for Front & $90 for the backbox

As long as I have been in the hobby CA have had a bad rep . Was only just reading about terrible quality translite they were selling recently.
I had some insert decals years ago from them. Sizing was wrong, text font didn't even match original!

For what it's worth..we use retro refurb @PeteB decals and side blades for all our customers rebuilds, and not had one complaint or even a tiny comment, particularly on colour shade...must of used dozens now...what do you use as a colour reference for a start? Unless you have an unfaded cab to start with....colours would have to be way off, to notice. (Maybe some of the cheap repro's are way off never even thought to use them). Have heard of the definition on some decals being quite pixelated...not the case with retro refurbs decals......highly recommended by us.....side blades are great as well...good quality and real easy to fit..........K & J.

This!! I'm well aware there are many suppliers of quality cabinet decals around the world, and I've no issue with that, but it boggles my mind why CA got a repro license from PPS and no one else does especially when you consider how bad his stuff is. You can actually see it in the eBay feedback. Whenever you see decals getting sold on Pinside it's nearly always because they came from CA and he wouldn't allow return/refund on them.
Actually, I do know why he got the Bally Williams repro rights - it's because he's ballsy enough to print stuff without getting the 3rd party license, so PPS pockets the cash without any risk, all while still keeping it "made in America".

Correct! No original style cabinet decals from me for Bally, Williams, or Gottlieb.
Everything else including custom orders/designs however is something that I will continue to do so.
I don't know anything about these guys at https://pinballdecals.eu but I've read on Pinside and a few other places that their decals are good quality, so at least now people have a source for this stuff. Some of PinballPT's stuff is ok but I find their print quality is usually not that great and they don't laminate. I certainly don't recommend the guy in Italy either as his design files are not the least bit accurate. Everyone else is hit and miss so again I would avoid.

Can't answer that question about ministry but pinballdecals eu were a good quality that came from Czech so could be from the same supplier just resold
I had another look and these next gen ones look fine to me not that I got much to compare to but you can't see any print lines, no pixelation, sharp lines, colours brighter then the faded ones i removed. Seem fine to me.
