A hello kitty pinball machine would be hilarious. Not my thing, but there are some obsessive collectors of that stuff.

Interesting that Dankberg talks about tapping into alternative pools of creativity outside of the pinball "ivory tower". My view however is that for Stern, like any business, is it's all about risk management. By partnering with well-established successful brands you're making a low(er) risk investment than designing your own ideas. Essentially you're standing on the shoulders of giants. They even cite Mustang as a specific example of this.
