On the look out for the following:

  • High Speed 2
  • Star Trek The Next Generation
  • Fish Tales
  • White Water

Would also consider
  • Stern POTC

Non project pin want list:

The walking dead
Lord of the rings

Will consider others.

St tng on fb this morning at 2200 . Surprisingly the buyer grabbed the van keys on that one pretty sharpish

I love a challenge
My advice with it if it's an unrestored one change all the opto's and canon wiring loom. You can tell if the opto's are original they will be a yellowish colour.

The opto's and canon wiring cause most of the strange problems. To change the opto you will need to remove the subway, so if your doing that I also recommend rebuilding the divertor gate as well.

I played the stern potc recently for the first time in a while it's ok, I think pinsound would work nicely on it.

Thx for the advice mate. Issue is trying to find one at the right price. Couldn't see that 2k one it must have gone fast.

I think the game is reliable as long as it doesn’t get moved about a lot. You see very few at expos. Personally it has great shots and modes, team it with a Pinsound card and it’s awesome. still amazes me how quickly the ball travels over the ramps and back to the flippers. Would probably have it over a Fishtales. But that’s a really cool game too!

No worries, I had one that I basically had to rebuild, I swapped it pretty much for my LOTR, which I also rebuilt 🤭 but for different reasons, STTNG didn't work, LOTR I wanted it shiny.

I think it would be tough to get one now for under £3.5. it might be possible but any one under £3k would need alot of work. I might be mistaken regarding the price points.

Agreed, but only if it's been well looked after and parts changed, my old one the new owner has zero problems, but I basically had to rebuild it at a substantial cost.

All the widebody WMS games are a pain. Indiana Jones, Twiglet Zone, Demo Man, STTNG. JD and Roadshow are much easier to keep going.

Do not forget - most of these pins have been thrashed. Unless you get a restore (that Scott doesnt want) you are working with 30 year old electronics and parts.

Those widebodies are running electronically at 110% when you think about it. AN extra board is fittied for more coils/flashers that is piggy backed onto the CPU.

@s000m - Scott - go and play a few at pinfest. Sure that is the plan.

Do yourself a favour and just hold out for HS2. As much as I love STTNG And had quite a few, its a non stop job of keeping it going unless you buy a really nice one that has been lovingly cared for. Buy a dog and you really will have your work cut out not to mention a bloody heavy back breaker of a pin to move anywhere.

FT well I had one for a couple of weeks and sold it for £300 and im now literally paying the price as i‘ve not long bought one for 10x that and some as I feel I just never gave it enough time.

My old HS2 is across the road at billys along with many of my old pins and some new minty ones from ChrisB so im just a lucky bstard I guess. BTW HS2 is my goto pin whenever I visit as its just super fun, very forgiving, is great for a quick fix of pinball and deserves a space in anyones lineup.

The hunt continues!

To throw a wild card out there I would also consider a non project pin The Walking Dead Pro (or Premium).

Not on your list but there was a project R&B on FB £500. And a Gottlieb Genie £400.
Yh I saw. I think ppl circled like vultures 😝 and then others told him to hold fast.

I imagine it will eventually sell for more. Anyway with the purchase I made I'm not looking for another as it was a much higher budget pin.

P.S. People, stop messaging me privately, where's the fun in saying what it is yet? 😜
