Annoyingly down south that weekend otherwise would have been there for sure - good luck with and will make sure a trip to visit is planned soon after
 
Can’t go but wish you the best with the event and your new venue - and will certainly swing by next time I’m up in the NE

We had a great afternoon out in York yesterday at the Opening event. Fantastic finally got to see the Roger Sharpe movie which neither Clare or I had seen. It was a nice touch for @rosflip to put the showing on at a nearby Cinema. Then it was round the corner to “Oh, Flip” and play some pinball. 10 games to start with and plenty of room to house a lot more.

The opening event was well attended, and was nice to meet some new people. I was a tad disappointed that we didn’t see anyone else we knew there.

They have got a brand new Stern Dungeons & Dragons pro. It’s a crazy fast game and I had no idea what to do and failed miserably, but Clare soon got the hang of it and posted HS1 on her first game and then GC on her second!!!!

I had a great game on TNA and had a Quick Look at the Lucky Fruit EM which was out of action (score motor constantly turning) - it was resetting all the score reels ok and all the zero switches were opening correctly, but some other switch wasn’t opening as it should. Might be the ball counter……It’s tough to fix an EM without a schematic handy (next time I’ll come prepared)

A nice mix of games to start.

We had to leave before the end to get back to Leeds on the train. But we will be back. It will be nice to visit again when we’ve also got a gig to go to in York.

Well done again to @rosflip for making this happen.
 
Thanks so much for the kind words Alan! It was a pretty crazy night - really good attendance, the games got a good hammering/trial by fire. Some technical challenges but overall I’m very happy with day 1.

I’m overdue and update on the construction work etc on my shop log thread - been too busy with everything else - but will try to share pictures and things very soon!
