Yes, that's correct . There are limitations with Nvram options, but they do offer some good benefits. I think we all use the same chips with different connections for the different chip layouts (6264, 6116, 5101) , so any game that uses an internal time clock isn't going to keep time properly with an nvram solution. This is one reason why i say to people with TZ not to change it, as the attract clock feature won't be accurate. Most of my magicram boards to go stern whitestar games as its plug and play there. Williams never socketed the ram chip. shame.
