A guy local to me has managed to get his hands on a couple of old EM playfields which are in reasonable condition. Unfortunately they came without the main cabinet or back box so the likelihood of them ever running again is slim at best. Combine that with the amount of plastics and other bits that are missing and it makes it unrealistic to get them back in a working state.
Here's a couple of pictures of them. Apologies for the crap quality.
The guy who's got them actually makes furniture and he's looking at using these as a centerpiece for a couple of coffee tables. The idea being that there would be a glass top above them.
I figure there isn't much chance of getting them to do much more than light up but he's interested in the possibility of doing that. So the question for you lot is would it be possible to somehow get the GI and insert lights to come on? My guess is that you'd simply need a PSU of sufficient rating that could be hooked into the appropriate circuits.
If that's the case then has anyone got any clues on what voltage supply I would need?
Grateful for any comments. It's a little sad to see them in this state. They were about to be slung into a skip to be disposed of but I figure having them preserved inside a coffee table is probably a nicer ending for them.
Cheers
Pete
