It's been a long time coming, but Northern Lights Pinball are finally ready to announce another Flip Frenzy competition! This one will be kindly hosted by @JMP and his amazing selection of Gottlieb games, amongst others.

Full details are on the website : http://www.ukpinball.com/flippin-frenzy-2019 , but briefly - four hours of near continuous heads-up matches in a friendly and fun competition, followed by a finals for the top four. Entry fee of £10 includes refreshments, and after costs will be donated to the Northern Lights charity for 2020 (yet to be chosen). Pay on the day.

Event opens at 10am on Sunday November 10th for socialising and practice. Comp starts at 11am, and after lunch, more qualifying, then finals - should be wrapped up for about 5pm or thereabouts.

Event is registered with the IFPA for WPPRs: https://www.ifpapinball.com/tournaments/view.php?t=36457

Places are limited to around 30, but if demand is high this may be expanded. Please leave your name in the comments to be added to the list of registered players.

One of the best fun competions ever.
Looking forward to this on some of the weird and wonderful Gotlieb games that John own's.

Would I need to be competitive to be able to enter? Never tried a pinball competition before, so would have expectations of being in last place, with anything beyond that a bonus.

No, although it a competition, you dont need to be competitive really. It's a really fun format where you play almost non stop, doesnt matter what standard you are, you'll have fun. And dont worry about playing badly, everyone will lose some games and win others. I usually take my kids to comps, and whilst they lose quite a few games, every now and then they will win a game against one of the top players which makes their day.

I think Dan said it perfectly. It's mainly a fun gathering rather than anything super serious, and there are all different skill levels. If you're interested let me know a name (via PM if you prefer) so that I can add you to the public list (or if you prefer to be anonymous on the results I submit at the end, let me know that too!)

There's not that many events up this end of the country though, so if you're available you may as well come along and join the fun :)

Goodo, put me down then. I'm James Willan.

I should be up for this. Got to get my permission slip signed by the missus first though.
She was moaning that I've got pinball nearly every weekend between now and Christmas already!!
To be fair Dan, have you seen how many events you have played in the UKCS??

I've been able to get this day off work, now just after a lift to get there and back (like normal)
I live in Pendlebury, Salford.
