It seems like a lot of interference in being passed on to the speakers, aside from a constant buzz from the transformer, the insert lights also cause noise in time with their flashing, is there a filter cap missing or degraded?

Yeah I'm sure that's a cap issue I had the same thing with TZ ended up replacing a cap and amplifier chip type thing

All the stern whitestars and DE machines I have owned were prone to humming and interference. Lots of info on pinside and rgp - but I don't think any definitive fix other than sorting out the grounding and the caps etc
