I never thought to check, but I was a bit shocked today to find out that there are no downloadable Manuals or schematics available for Gottlieb pins. Checked ipdb. Further digging, I found out that Gottlieb have enforced their ownership rights, back in 2003 and asked all on-line sites to remove all copies.

Fortunately Pinball mania have the ones I'm after. Or, failing that I can get from Gottlieb's authorised seller - Steve Young's The Pinball Resource in USA - they are not that expensive, but that site doesn't seem to accept on-line or electronic payments.

Yep - Gottlieb stuff been off grid for ages :(

PBR is insanely stuck in the internet circa 1995. You have to do money order or something pre ordering ...I dunno its always been so much hassle I have never bothered. I *think* that possibly Andy Pinball Mania is happy to add stuff on to orders he places periodically. I could be wrong but worth asking.

It's worth trying to order something from PBR http://www.pbresource.com just for the experience.

You will need to pay by telegram or cash.

If you are not 100% sure what you want ask first before ordering. They are more then happy to help prior to the order but trying to change an order unleashes pain and frustration.

After you’ve ordered once with PBR for any future order they will send you the items and an invoice. For small amounts they are happy with real dollars through the mail!

All depends what you are willing to put your account details into i guess really but Steve was very understanding and gave me 3 options, telegram money over (western union or post office), put dollers in an envelope and post it or send a cheque cashable in the US. I chose to use the post office to send him the money.

Its a business of passion and honour that is stuck in the past but is invaluable. I think there are many Gotttlieb fans in the US who are begging for him to take on a younger apprentice who can bring the business up to date as well as keep it going when he gives up.

This is the inside story with pictures...

Just use Andy.... far, far easier in my experience and I buy a fair amount of PBR stuff. The one time I tried bank transfer and eventually moneygram with them for a playfield, it was a major headache with their bank details disclosure. Moneygram a PITA too I felt...

@Arv he's looking for EM schematics, already offered.

PBR are great for NOS parts and I got something for my monster bash from him but you have to do a money transfer in the same style as Nigerian bank robber. Ordered once, not sure id bother again.
