R.I.P Nikki Lauda, a truly phenomenal racer, and a great example of triumph through adversity, winning the F1 championship after that horrific smash.
When one of his aircraft crashed he left no stone unturned to get to the root cause of it, probably, saving others because of the findings.
Loved his straight talking approach.
LEGEND

Simply one of a kind, a legend who survived an era of F1 where safety was an afterthought. To be back racing mere weeks after being given his last rights shows balls of the highest order, as too was not racing in Japan that same year with the title on the line in appalling weather.
He was never one to suffer fools gladly and always called a spade a spade with some memorable interviews and such a all round good bloke. Loved hearing about how he never bought into the mystique of Enzo Ferrari and just treated him like any other boss he had.
The sport has lost one of its true greats, not just for his accomplishment behind the wheel but everything he did after for different teams and being one of those who brought back the GDPA after Imola 94.
RIP Mr Lauda
