Really? Even if it is new, its still gotta be 4 times the cost when new. That's not allowing for the battery leakage which is likely to have happened.
 
pins in 1980 were around a £1000 new but BK may have been slightly more. like Banzai the marketing guys may have seen a chance to squeeze a little more
 
Banzai was a 1/3 dearer on release than standard willaims price. they had to rush out swords of fury for ops who wanted a cheaper game

Yeah, thats what im afraid of, alot of stuff could have gone wrong with that game while in storage for over 30 years (why would anyone want to store a new pin for so long anyway?)
 
I think a number of NIB pins have been unboxed over the years and the batteries haven't leaked.
