Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum and new to this hobby. I bought a Data East Last Action Hero pinball a while back but didn't really get into it until it broke. I had to do quite a few repairs to the machine/boards which i had never done before which catapulted me into this hobby, im currently restoring this machine which has been great! But like with every hobby i want more lol, i just wondering where everyone buys there machines? I know theres machines for sale on here but im kinda looking for do uppers? Is there anywhere else i should be looking? As seems to be (to me that is) very dry in the UK? This is probably my lack of knowledge in this, but wondering if theres places im missing.

Many thanks

Most people get their games on here or via members on here.

If you want a do upper, overpay for one on eBay 🤣

I've got around 13, over half owned by @Lecari and all of them were from members of pinballinfo except 3 which were lucky finds via eBay, FB or a friend, but always ended up being more of a project than expected.

Thank you for the reply! Yer ive literally only joined here a few days ago so i will keep an eye out, i would only have space for maybe 2 more but then i can sell and trade as i will always have at least one machine.

I’ve got seven pins. My first pin, I overpaid from a retailer. I got two as lucky finds by noisily asking around the community - one of these, I waited 18 months and made such a fuss ;) that someone remembered and DM’d me a Gumtree link they spotted. One I bought off the forums. Three others are new in box (less interest to you).

If you want a project, and are flexible about which title, maybe put up an advert in the Wanted section.

Thanks for the reply. Yer i believe i over paid on this one slightly from a retailer, thats a good shout posting up a wanted post, i would love a new one but the prices are quite steep, one day lol

Cheap pins even as projects are hard to come by. Either through inflated prices by sellers wanting unrealistic prices or by unsuspecting sellers asking too little and then getting bombarded by lots of sellers willing to one up each other to get it or spoil the sale.

It's cut throat , like most collectible markets unfortunately.

Best you can do is post a wanted and hopefully someone will offer a project they'll never get around to sorting for a fair market price.
