Hi,

I'm after a piece of mylar to put around the VKU scoop on a hobbit, its not something that you can buy pre-cut.

I need it to protect the playfield after fitting a cliffy, still yet to be delivered. I want it precise not like I've cut it with a pair of scissors, so it needs to look like the factory fitted Mylar.

Any one on here able to do this, unsure of how to measure it 🤷‍♂️

obviously happy to pay reasonable cost :)

Thanks

I’ve got a cricut cutting machine with a knife blade. Could be worth a go - but would need a precise drawing.

Thanks, not sure how to go about getting a drawing, need to have a think, unless any one has any suggestions?

I'd suggest placing a pre-cut piece down with the edges over the cliffy then using a surgical scalpel, or craft knife and trimming round the edge of the cliffy for a precise cut.

I can't really envisage where it's going on The Hobbit, have you got a pic?

I can cut it with laser however it's more a job for a decal cutter like the cricut.
I know @SeikoKid has done a few but not sure how busy he is.
I can easily draw whatever up via email and send to @MadNat or @SeikoKid to cut.

Just make one out of paper and dm for my email. It will have to be a 1:1 scan

OOI what pin is it for.

I can help you out chris with a CAD file. I have 0.6mm mylar also although its not adhesive backed.
Also have a stencil cutter which I havn't used yet which might do it. Worst case Mc mordie bros could cut it I'm sure
which are close to you.

What game?

Unless I have that game i’d need a shape which then can be refined. I’d email you the shape if it was you that had the game and this would continue until it’s correct. Then when we are all happy I can cut you out the vinyl which in olden days was called mylar

Thanks, much appreciated, other have said a decal cutter would be better, which makes sense. once the cliffy is eventually here i will see what the best option is, the response from people have been very helpful.

Its for a hobbit.
