Moving lights

Hey pinheads



When I want to move lights on the top lanes or inlanes/outlanes, I find myself just flailing, and more often than not, running out of time. Is there a hard and fast rule to how to move them so I can get the ball to go down an unlit one? I'm sure there must be a simple way, am I the only one that does it by Brownian motion?

They cycle through a set pattern, I usually just use the left button to move them on, that way I know where I am.
