Who do people use for this pls ?

I have a 90s classic, below 2k miles a year and have been with Classicline for 10 years plus

Thanks

I use RH, used them for many years for a 1980s classic and a 1990s classic.

I was recommended them by someone in the pre-war car circles, apparently they never had a problem sending a car for a new body panel to be bespoke manufactured $$$

Both my Starion (1990) and MX5 (2007) are thru Adrian Flux. Both are modifed too. Think the Mazda is more than the Starion - which is crazy because I have an agreed value for the Starion

Adrian Flux here too on my old Skyline, 1k mile limit, sub £200 last year, although I expect it will be higher this year.

Have also had decent quotes from Footman James in the past too, although never used them.

I use Norton Insurance Brokers but have been placed with Heritage Classic Car Insurance.

My wife just did a go compare quote for a ‘98 P38 Range Rover 4.6 HSE for 2k miles a year, she has zero no claims as her policy finished years back and has been named on my cars.
Cheapest was £180!

Guess being a cheap car you don’t need specialist insurance?

I think that once they get to a certain age and are on low mileage policies the normal rules don't apply. They assume you are not commuting in them, leaving them in precarious places, not thrashing them etc etc

A few years back I was insuring a 2007 audi s5 4.2 and a 1994 merc sl 5.0.

The audi had full no claims etc but was a multiple of the cost of the merc with zero no claims attached.

Putting one of my cars in the garage was dearer than on the drive as presumably you run the risk of smacking them when parking in garages

Unfortunately these classic car insurance policies normally only cover you if the car is a second vehicle. We’re a one car (modern classic) family so couldn’t get classic insurance annoyingly. I didn’t exhaust the list though. If anyone has knowledge of a policy that doesn’t insist two cars, let me know.
