Mm catapult switch

I have this rather annoying feature on mm that the catapult only registers a ball once in a while. In multiball it usually results in two balls getting stuck in there and a premature end to the game.
In test mode the switch is perfect, always register.
What could be the problem?

Does it always register with a ball, or are you using your finger?
It will probably need a bit of tweaking/ bending in to a better position.

Failing that sell me the machine, it’s probably completely ****ed and worthless

I use the ball to check and it always work during testing. I might try to see if i can bend it a bit.
Failing that I will have to sell the machine for peanuts, as it is worthless without the catapult
