Microswitch Question

Putting the ramps back on my DE R&B last night and whilst lowering the Playfield I managed to snag one of the micro switches. Sod's law dictates that it caught really well and the resulting yank pulled the arm off the switch and also opened up the housing.

I've pushed it all back down and reattached the arm but there's no 'click' any more when pressing the button on top and the switch test menu shows its not working. :(

According to the manual it's part number 500-5633-00 but I can't seem to find that online, not even at Marcos. Are these things really that unique or is there an equivalent that would work? Alternatively is there any way to repair the switch? My guess is they're pretty much sealed units.

All comments and advice greatly received. Looks like I'll have to put up with my withdrawal symptoms a little longer.

From what I can make out the switches often have different part codes but only because the switch arm varies in shape or length.

The switch itself is labelled as a Cherry DA3 and I still have the arm, it simply snapped back into place.

So given that i'm guessing I could grab any Cherry DA3 and just refit the diode and arm from my old one? So next stupid question - where can I grab a Cherry DA3 from? ;)

Alas I can't make it to Daventry, but I've already emailed Andy.

Both him and PH sell part number 5647-12693-21 which looks like the bit I need. Hopefully get one ordered on Monday but in the meantime I might desolder one of the other switches and use that so then at least I can finish putting the ramps back on.

Then when the new one arrives I can replace the one I've borrowed (which will be easier to access and won't require me to strip off the ramps again).

Just keep the wire armature off the old one and click it on to the new one if you can't find the correct shape. As long as the actual switch is the same. Should be fine
