Hi all,
Anyone done any microblasting on PCB's at all to remove resist or areas of corrosion (such as damage from leaky batteries)???

After any tips and/or advice on media and hardware to use. I have a 100L compressor at my diposal, so air isnt a problem :D

Cheers
Paul

Your better off using an acid like vinegar or lemon juice to nuetralise the battery deposit.
Brush of residue and do it a few times.
Then clean with water or isp alcohol

Oh and try and localise the area ,dont clean areas with acid that dont need it

Yeh get that, however several boards i have (not all pinball) have damage, and want to eradicate any trace and clean back to the tracks before fix and re-sealing :)

I could use (as i have been) a fibreglass pen, however this seems quicker and more thorough :)

The via's are your main problem as the residue can sit and eat away inside the hole.
Under IC's also.
