Loud cracking noise

Anyone had a similar issue in a loud cracking noise that happens intimitently about 2 or 3 times a game usually about 10 minutes into a game? Frightens the life out of me. It's a new Uncanny X Men pin pro.

Not personally. Does the machine reboot when it happens?

Maybe a corrupt sound file?

Are you talking about the free game noise that happens when you get a good score? Knocker adjustment is under Standard adjustments and is number 45. Check if thats on/off, and turn it off.

It’s the knocker sound, really unpleasant on most Spike 2 Sterns (though they did change it for Kong), as Jason says turn it down in the settings

If it is the knocker sound then many have fallen for it. I posted exactly the same thing when I bought my first Pin, thought something had blown in the machine!

Hard to describe but it’s more of a wooden knock sound than a nasty speaker squelch. The volume for it is also set to low as the factory default

If the noise is followed by a loud swear word, its defintely back or knee

We’ve all been there! Happy to help. Enjoy Uncanny X-Men. Its one of the better Sterns from the last few years in my opinion, as it doesn’t come out of the usual cookie cutter mould from Stern. They dared to be different, and for me, it worked. Great game!
