LOTR fans

Went 300 miles yesterday through the Shires to collect a pin, left at 5am. On the way back met my bro for a 2 hour lunch which he paid for (expensive Denham pub) result I thought.
Standstill traffic on M4 near Swindon for a while so check my phone to see what’s going on, turns out there is another incident on the Severn bridge into Wales where a lorry full of alcohol has burst into flames so the M4 is shut there

Anyway, to get from Bristol and over the old Bridge which would take about 10 mins max took about 3 hours, and on arriving at the old bridge which was virtually where the traffic started to flow again I saw this! Was an amazing site I got to tell you
No it wasn’t a lotr pin I picked up but that would have freaked me out for sure if it was!

@Dave Playman nice to meet you and have a few games mate, I got back about 11pm. Thank god I went in the car as I would have been cooked in my van with no a/c working, and it kept my arm cool

I was on way back from Reading to Bristol around 6ish and got caught up in this slightly but was able to sneak off down M32 without much delay

Plenty of people were doing that, wish I did. Could have gone up the M5 then M50, long way around but would have save 2 hours I think. It said 45 min delay
But I wouldn’t have seen the Eye of Sauron

AC in my van is goosed also, driving with windows down and it’s like I’m permanently in a wind tunnel.
I drive all over UK and it’s a lottery.
“will I take M1 or M6?” Flip a coin….It don’t matter cause someone always ‘creams in’ and the motorway is shut for hours.
Roads are a frikin nightmare…
To get to customers on time I have to leave really early or just travel the night before.
Getting old, hate being away from home all the time now…
