Up for sale is my (second) LOTR, a fun longer-playing game with lots going on. Made by Stern in 2003, designed by George Gomez, it sold around 5000 units and even now over 20 years later is still highly rated: as of this week it is #16 on Pinside (https://pinside.com/pinball/machine/lord-of-the-rings) and coincidentally also #16 on IPDB (https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4858).
The good: all working, fully-LEDded, lovely playfield, a few minor tasteful mods (Shire decals, Orthanc colour-changing lamp, speaker inserts, unfitted Shire cliffy, unfitted Arwen plastic protector, left inlane extended plastic). These games very rarely come up for sale.
The bad: cabinet is a bit tatty, UK skill posts (never bothered me - you get 3 free coils), plain vanilla DMD screen.
Located in West London. Price £5200.
EDIT: I had a couple of 60M+ games (for me that’s good) and was one shot away from destroying the ring tonight. Fnaarr fnaarr. Bloody centre shot! I’m gonna finesse those flippers to get every last millimetre of torque and reach out of them. Since I’m enjoying this all over again, withdrawn from market. I’ll have to sell something else instead.
Now I can take those fuc_king LEDs back out and put the colour screen back in

Here’s a short video of it booting up to show no errors-
