Hi all - Finally clubbed together enough money for a home pin and want to see what everyone has for sale! I'm interested in pretty much anything bar an EM (And Gilligan's Island!) - would be sweeter if movie / TV tie in! Preferably around 2-4k however if there's something I really want I'll happily stretch a little bit.

Welcome - perhaps a list of your favourite themes will help.
I'll be honest - The only game I've played so far I've disliked is ST.
Some of my favourites are: Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Iron maiden, Spiderman (Hence the name), Cactus Canyon, Jurassic Park, POTC, Fish Tales, Whitewater, Twilight Zone - I'm well aware the majority of those are out of the price range however it's a rough idea I guess!

Is that Stern's Star Trek - Pro, or Premium (with all the colour changing inserts)?

Spider-Man and Star Trek are quite similar in terms of layout, at least that's what i thought. Sold ST LE, kept Spider-Man. Spider-Man had the more polished software in my opinion.

Apologies - Stranger Things! Playfield was a little bare and wasn't a fan of the shots.

Sounds to me like you need a nice Spidey dude. 3.5 to 4k. Flow monster. Great rules. One of the really solid SAM system games

+1 for spidey. It was my first pin bought it in February. Great flow and great rules/layout. Arguably best value pin on the market IMO, certainly more expensive pins out there that aren’t nearly as good. Going to moving it on simply due to lack of space (one in one out) but won’t be for another month or so.

I'd suggest it is worth the wait, if you can do 'patience' (which is something i struggle with).

I'll admit, Spider-Man is a good game but we've got a local one and I've spent ALOT of time on it so I dont think it would be a home game for me if that makes sense? Appreciate all the help though!

EDIT: To add two games I'd love - Indiana Jones or Ripley's (I think this one may be a little controversial?)

Does your dislike of Gilligans Island stem from elsewhere, like mine for the Flintstones? Nothing with that theme would get any liking from me.

Incidentally, are you aware there are two Indiana Jones pinballs, the Williams wide-body Indy 'PBA' covering the first three films, and Stern Indy & the Crystal Skull

I misread your initial reply as you've only played Stranger Things, and you didn't enjoy it.

Good choices (assuming B/W Indy)

With Gilligans Island not only does the theme do very little for me, but the actual gameplay itself feels a little bland and the code shallow. As for Indy the Williams is definitely better than the Stern, however the Ark on the Stern is VERY cool.

For sure - the Stern is rather uninspired but I'd love the B/W as not only is the game better, but the movies are too!

I'm not fond of Gilligans Island play-wise, either. It's history now, but I see it as the machine where software updates became critical; G/I had to have (i think) L6 and a coil change or risk seriously damaging the large 'power/driver' circuit board

In Gilligans defence, it's a fraction of the cost of other machines. At a 1/3 or 1/4 of a CFTBL, STTNG, 1/5 of Metallica so if you're building a modest collection of pins on a budget don't discount it. You wouldn't want to plow a lot of money into it but keep it simple and it's still a fun title when friends come over for a beer.

If budget wasn't an issue I'd have expensive titles in my line up. Suggestions for your budget would be Dracula, Ripleys. I could be tempted by both of those at around £2.5K.

Any pinball is better than no pinball.

Very much true - I'd love a Ripley's and IJ although with current prices that would be tough!

I agree it’s a great game. Not sure it would last that long in a single pin household though. I thought about getting one myself but not sure if the code is deep enough…

It’s fairly shallow, but the buzz of lining it all up is really quite something. Don’t forget that smug feeling of nobbling the Monger just on his edges - wide enough to avoid the magnet.

Iron Man is a blast, war machine coming at you puts a smile on your face. Monger can be a bitch but it’s a battle, a sneaky shot to the edge soon sorts that but the shots where it launches the ball down the side is unreal sometimes and a 🤷‍♂️ moment.
Connect a 15” sub up and as Al-Naafiysh said ‘just feel it’ 😂
