Lethal weapon2 graphics

Hi Guys. first time, posting so be kind.
I have a lethal weapon 2 machine in good condition. The graphic display has failed probably through a faulty joint in the loom.
I am a sparky by trade and know to leave stuff like this to the experts. Any advice?

The dot matrix display in your LW3? Is it completely blank or showing funny patterns or lines out?

Have you got another game you can test it in, to see if it’s the display itself or something else in the high voltage circuit, or a ribbon cable?

Plenty of experts here but I’m not one of them. They’ll want to see a picture and give you some testing to do with your multimeter on the HV power cable to the DMD. I think it’s supposed to show -110, -98, …. 5V and maybe a 12V too. Good luck.

If it is the display you can get a replacement one for under fifty quid nowadays as so many folk have upgraded to colour ones.

My LW3 DMD stopped working at Pinfest a few years ago - it was the high-voltage that had failed. Jim @myPinballs fixed it very quickly. Your problem may be different though, and I don't know how to check as @Poibug diagnosed it.
