So I have limited headroom for my machines - I can just about fit them with ~1cm headroom.

However I'd like to increase the pitch on one of them, but can't lengthen the rear legs. Can I shorten the front legs?!

I see on pinparts.co.uk that some legs are 28.5" (b/w) and some are 30.5" (stern). Are the bolt patterns compatible? Would I be able to gain 2 inches like this?

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem - any advice much appreciated

Problem then is it’ll feel unnatural as the front of the machine will be lower than what you’re used to.

As you might've noticed when we met I'm not a very tall guy - think I would get used to it honestly.

And a £70 set of legs is a lot more palatable than a ££££ roof rebuild! (I need to money to buy pinball machines you see ;) )

There’s some legs on eBay sold by The Gameroom Guys that say they fit Bally/Williams/Stern/Data East suggesting that the bolt spacing is the same - you need to check the the bolt hole position is the same too though, if you buy shorter legs, but the bolt holes are higher you could end up with little difference in height. Plenty of Bally/Williams owners on here, ask some to measure leg length, bolt hole height & bolt hole spacing [emoji106]

Good plan - I think most legs have 2 1/4" bolt spacing, with rare exceptions like Allied Leisure 2 1/2"

If you put B/W legs on a Stern which you can do as the bolt centres are the same then you will be around 2” lower. As the front adjusters are usually nearly all the way in, you then have about 2”+ to adjust it back up again. 👍

Thanks Garry that's really useful - just what I was looking for.

Having just measured it. looks like unfortunately the DE machine I have already has the shorter B/W legs on the front :'(

Although not common Gottlieb used 27” legs. Bolt spacings are uniform. I may have some. Will check tomorrow.

Thanks Andy that's appreciated. Any chance you might get these back in stock too? :)
