LED's in Old Game

So on my LaserBall I have taken all of the old bulbs out, will need to replace a majority of these I assume, just to confirm... you can simply replace the bulbs with LED's, nothing else needed.

I'm not familiar with Williams SS but a Bally of similar age (1979) would require extra resistor circuitry to lock on switched lighting for LEDs.

Laserball is 1979, seemingly the resister malarkey is restricted to Bally/Stern of that era according to this article;
