LEDs from China

I need 25ish white LEDs for the GI on my WH2O. Has anyone used the cheap bulbs off eBay? Are they ok for a cheap fix?

Why do you not just buy some decent comet ones - they do them in bags of 25.

Buy cheap - buy many times......

Also make sure you turn off your 'allow dim illumination' and your GI power saver.

Bought the Chinese LED's many times, never had an issue, seems shipping is quicker than it used to be. Got my last purchase in 10 days, from Aliexpress.

Buy 100 or more then - shipping prob the same . Keep the extra for future use or sell them . They are almost half the price of suppliers here iirc.

I have bought job lots direct from Comet before and always worked out cheaper than buying here , even with shipping.

And yes I know we should be supporting UK suppliers but these are the only item I generally source from the US over the UK.

It was a couple years ago I did it and thinking back it may well of been a Black Friday deal too .

I was also talking about the 2SMD cheaper ones at Comet which are $59 per 100.

Obviously I don't know which bulbs you ordered but as an example then these Comets from @David retro would still have been cheaper.

As I say fair enough . I just know at the time I last ordered it was def worth doing the US option.

If UK prices close enough I’d def order from UK . And yes ordered from David at Retro before - great service .

I just compared 100 of exact same from both suppliers

From Comet - USPS to UK, took at least a couple weeks from my experience ...approx £60



From Retro Arcade - usually next day UK delivery £94



For smaller quantities then yes order in the UK . As I said David @ Retro provides a great service to the community.

Pinball Heaven do them in 25 bags. Slightly less P&P

I know historically 2SMD Daylight were always the first choice, with clear for GI and Frosted for the backbox. Things may have moved on a bit though

That's better, I can see what I'm doing now! Although somehow ordered 9 less LEDs than I needed! Stupidly counted them up with the game off so missed a load hidden away at the back!
