'er indoors is wanting to put pictures on the wall from her various travels, in particular of game parks. The pictures were taken with a digital slr so the images are sharp enough for this sort of enlargement

Has anyone found a good, cost effective, place to get these things printed please ?

Not sure whether we want framed ones, or the canvas frameless type

Thank you

I've used photobox.co.uk for canvas prints before and they were good (they often have special offers on as well - it's worth checking some coupon-code websites to see if you can find a deal).

I produced the correctly sized files from the camera's raw files before sending though, rather than let them resize a jpeg or other compressed file format.

I'm looking for the same. Can be quite Expensive printing large wall-sized murals, however you need a REALLY high quality print to start with!

When you say "game parks" do you mean "theme parks"??? i.e. Rollercoasters and the like?

Lions etc !! From our trips to Kruger Park in South Africa

We go about once a year, it is the cost effective place to do this. So have loads of snaps

Perhaps intersperse a few tasteful theme park shots tho? Here's Clarence Pier, Southsea at sunset with Seagulls to get you started ;) Let me know if Mrs DRD likes and I'll do you a Hayling Island Funland.

Don't know if they are in all Harvey Normans but the two in Northern Ireland do printing up to backbox size and beyond.

Very reasonably priced and if you befriend the guy (or girl) he will put it through as photograph club rates which is 15 % off from memory.

The great thing being if the colour or quality etc are wrong you can just reject them and there is no charge.

Your mileage may vary though, worth a check
