All my lamp holders on blackwater 100 are the wedge type holders for 555 and 906 lamps. The connections on the back seem to be a push fit to connect the diode and then this isn't soldered at the other end but crimped to the metal bracket.
I have found one today missing a diode but I can't seem to get it to push in and connect.
Is there a technique I'm missing.
Maybe I should put on glasses as maybe there's a broken end of a diode in there. image.jpg

Here's one that's complete. You can possibly make out the diode going from one side of lamp to the bracket.

Drilled the plastic a bit to allow my soldering iron to reach the contact. Job done.
Is it me or are led's a lot harder to get in than 555 incandescent
