Lamp column problems

Hi all,
Got a dodgy lamp holder on my WPT, when I changed the bulbs to led's one 44 lamp holder was twisted so would be loose and cause the led to stop working periodically.
Well I've ordered some replacement lamp holders from Electrocoin/Stern but last night I noticed a whole column of leds' are out.
Looking in the manual the dodgy lamp holder is on the same column. So I can assume that the socket has probably shorted causing the rest of the led's on the same column to stay off....

So, any ideas please...should I start by checking the diodes/loose wires etc etc? or shall I just wait for the new lamp holders to turn up?

Thanks in advance...

Checked voltages on the lamp column connector and all except the wire for the row that's dark fluctuate between 2-4. So maybe the transistor that controls that row has blown?

Ok so i have continuity between pin 3 on J13 lamp columns with pin 3 being column 7 that is currently out to the dodgy lamp holder so i guess i can rule out a cut/kinked wire.

Can someone tell me if the diode on the dodgy lamp holder is bad would it cause the whole column to fail?

I would imagine a failing diode (allowing flyback current up-chain) could damage components, but in itself, would not cause the row to fail.

Hmm gonna give up trying to diagnose this myself as the vn02n's are impossible to test with a dmm and nobody can confirm for sure if the column is out due to a bad diode. If anyone knows of a repairman in the Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire area please get in touch as I need to get this resolved ASAP. Thanks everyone for your help.
