The women’s competition will be happening again this year by the team of Diane , Clare , Traci , Vicki, Judith and myself . It will include trophies , prize money and IFPA points . We will put more information on this thread once we have our timing sorted ( 😀😀) but you will be able to enter on the day . This is a natural progression from the ladies social and my vision is that very soon we will not need these seperate tournaments as women become more confident and less intimated . There is now very good and very confident women playing and less women sitting alone iso it will not be long until we take over 👍😀

The ladies tournament has just been submitted to the IFPA for approval - here's all the info:

The Bride of Pinbot ladies tournament returns to Pinfest, with £1,000 guaranteed in prize money!

No pre-registration needed - just turn up and pay on the day. Entry is £10 per card. This tournament is open to all women regardless of ability, and we foster a welcoming, inclusive environment - we encourage everyone to come along and have a go!

Qualifying is 10:00 - 14:00 on the Saturday in a card-based format. You will have a maximum of 3 attempts to play 5 games (out of a bank of 10).

The finals will be held from 15:00 - 17:00. It will be 8 players in Matchplay groups of 4, held as best of 3 games per round scored at 4-2-1-0. Top qualifier of each group choose games or position. The top 2 players from each group will then go through to the final - same format (best of 3, top seed choses game or position).

Looking forward to it :)

Hello , I am hoping that some of you could kindly donate some pinballs for the ladies comp and/ or social please ? They would only be used for the comp during the day on Saturday . Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi - so far we have two pins - Metallica pro and Rick and Morty and a promise from Dave Sibson ( pudsey ) of a couple of others . Hopefully looking for about 10 if anyone can squeeze one into their cars , van or backs 😀
Also looking for ideas for an Olympic style pinball comp for the ladies social for a bit of fun - so far got drink goggles, a space hopper , and snorkel and flippers - replicas is also going to reverse some flippers on one - . Some of my ideas are breaking health and safety rules( I have been warned by Diane 😀) so let me know if you have any good ideas please ?
Next year - this will be newbie comp .

Just a reminder of the format!

Thank you everyone who donated pins for the ladies social and open tomorrow . It was really appreciated as some of them needed shark finned to get into that room - the ladies social was attended by 46 women who I think had a ball at the pinball Olympics - thank you to the staff who kept the pins going and to Steve brum for the drink and upside down googles . Also thanks to Traci , Diane , Claire , Vicki , Judith and Donna for working their socks off and dealing with me xxx

The results are up on the IFPA website:

Congratulations Alice, Chris, Kate and Maria!

Chris and Alice played phenomenally all day, being joint 1st in qualifying! So pleased for you both. We had 41 women take part this year, compared to 30 last year, which is just HUGE - so big thank you to everyone who took part, as well as to the Brides of Pinbot for making it all happen, Wayne for the brilliant light up trophies, and Phil and Dave for topping up the prize fund.

(And for those interested, here are the links to the Matchplay qualifying and finals!)
