Sold Junkyard £2000 (I Need space 😭)

Williams Junkyard for sale £2000

EDIT: Looking into boot issue that happened since moving the machine. Cold solder joint on the CPU now fixed so game is working as good as it always has done!

Owned this lovely machine for over 2 years and top of playfield was shopped out a year ago. Game has been working perfectly since I've owned it and in an arcade for 4 or so months. Boards are all decent and no battery damage to the CPU. Anyone that knows me knows that I can't bare to sell machines the reason for selling is i just dont have the space anymore and this machine has been stored in my parents garage since I picked it back up about 2 weeks ago

THE GOOD:
- Plays perfect, fast and brutal
- Fully shopped the top of the playfield, with brand new left ramp, spinner decal, warm white GI LEDs and colour matched insert LEDs, new rubbers, balls and plenty of other bits.
- Cabinet is nice with no fade to the artwork at all, usual dings and scratches as to be expected. Right side of backbox has been touched up and barely notices (see pictures)
- Game has no errors. All switches, lamps ect working perfectly

THE BAD:
- 1 column is out on the DMD. I do have a spare but takes a few seconds to warm up, will swap out if you prefer.
- Previous owner put 2 nails in the outlanes, holes don't show too badly (See pictures) and it's never really bothered me

Certainly interested but have seen two other examples of this machine sell for the same price or less without the non-booting and DMD issues you mention. One was at UK PinFest and the other on this forum a week or two later.

The fact it doesn’t currently play makes me think perhaps this is better suited to another forum member with the technical nous I don’t possess.

GLWS, in other circumstances I’d love to jump on this and take it off your hands.

😂 I don’t blame them they are brutal.
My wife’s favourite game and one of the best cabinet artwork👍

The games been flawless since I've owned it, so no doubt something has just worked loose in transit, I checked all the connectors over and that's all I've had time to do. I highly doubt it will need a technical marvel it sort I just don't have the space or time right now
 
I always liked JY. It was a "sleeper" a few years ago but people seem to have realised that it's a decent game now. I'd definitely have this if I had the space and money.

Plus you've actually played it, for those that think I'm selling a heap of junk. The fact of the matter is I have a collection far to big for the small flat that I have and I physically can't get this back in my door 😂

Quite right, I can confirm that this machine was fully working a few months back and perfectly capable of dishing out a wizard mode to someone talented enough 😁
I can also confirm that it's a minor miracle that James has crammed in the pins that he has!
 
@MajesticPinball Hope that ‘those who think I’m selling junk’ remark wasn’t prompted by my original post? The concern I expressed regarding the machine not booting and the DMD issue you raised were because they give cause for concern on my part - e.g. I lack the skill, experience and confidence to fix a pinball machine.

Whereas others on here will no doubt not bat an eye at such factors as they know they can sort them out themselves. As I said, GLWS, wish I could buy myself a JUNKYARD!

Andy’s one at pinfest was in excellent condition - I played it for a good 30minutes with a few other guys - his was £2200 absolute bargain !
 
Now Fully working, playing perfect with no errors. A cold solder joint on CPU power pins causing the boot issue so nothing major. I've got a few more pictures and also a video of it booting and playing that I can send if you want. You're welcome to come and view it, she's not on legs ATM but can set up properly if you want to test it.

Fed up with time wasters on this one. This is NOT a project machine, there are no issues, it doesn't need to be serviced, it doesn't need repairs. All it needs is a new home where it can be set up and enjoyed! I'm not taking offers the price is the price, otherwise I'll find a location to site it. Rant over.

One more price drop to £2150. I have 2 pins incoming in the next week so really need the space freed up, If not I'll have to tombstone it and put it in storge
 
Final price drop to £2000 as I ideally needed this gone 3 weeks ago.... I've now got 3 pins on the way somehow so now I'm badly stuck for space.... even more so than I was a couple of days ago, damn this hobby!
