I'm looking for a first pin to start my pinball addiction rolling and Judge Dredd's the one I'd like to kick off with (I really like the theme and have a lot of decent memories of playing this one 20-odd years ago)

If you're looking to make space for a new machine or just want to move your Judge Dredd on please drop me a message on here with some pics.

As it'll be my first machine I'm looking for something in good condition with no serious work required to ease me into the hobby (something a newbie can plug in and start playing basically), so nothing that'd warrant a thread in the "Shop logs" section or with playfield damage please :).

I'm based in NW England (Not Blackpool, honest) but am prepared to travel to view machines, especially if its a well-loved pin from a regular on here.

Also, as an aside, can someone give me the details of the guy I keep seeing mentioned who ships pins across country for £85? I might be able to sort a pickup on my own but he seems like a good guy to know just in case I end up getting one from Newquay or Edinburgh or something.

Look out that the Police Pursuit lights are present over the ramps. They can be a swine to source.
Good choice of pin as a debut.

Tony Millband has one for sale on the Yahoo Group.

The man you're after is Martin at Retro Logistics https://www.facebook.com/RetroLogistics?fref=ts

Thanks for Martins details. Much appreciated.

I replied to Tony's ad, but he's yet to respond to my follow-up request for pics and details of the "cracked plastics" he mentions. His price was also a bit higher than what I thought even an undamaged JD would go for as well, although it's apparently what he paid for it himself, so I can't fault the guy for trying to just get his money back.

On that subject - I'm open to anyone suggesting the price range you'd expect a JD to sell for at the moment. All the people I spoke to about it at Daventry in August suggested, or had recently sold at, 1000 - 1200 depending on condition, but if anyone else wants to weigh in feel free.

I like Dredd. Would have thought that you could pick up one for a similar price to a DM or FT so maybe a grand at the moment.

I sold mine a few months ago for £1,300 and could have sold it three times over from the interest I received very quickly. It was pretty nice though, with the Eagle topper, spare ramps/plastics and working Deadworld mod. Shame you didn't post up your interest back then, I'm near Preston in the NW....!

Was my first pin too and a great machine for the money.

I think I got into this just after "Offload your JD" month. At least 2 other people I've spoken to already have told me they just sold theirs 'last month' . Either that or theres a huge turnover in them and August was just a dry period :)

I'm probably going to be moving mine along after the Play Expo event this October 12-13. I'm based in the NW (Preston). I do however have a buyer already lined up, but if that falls through you're next in line? You're also welcome to come round if you wish and have a blast on it to see if it's like you remember it. PM me.

Cheers mate - If I don't sort something out before then I'll be well interested. If nothing else I can pick up another machine from my 'back-up' list and get JD in later.

Like I said if you just want to get a feel for the game even if you decide to purchase the game from someone else then you're welcome to bob over and try it. I also have a Fish Tales. ;)
