Put a dirty rag to a Centaur, added a billion missing lamps, put new rubber on.
still countless fixes like stuck on lamps, non working switches, sound problems, display problems, locked on coil etc still to be fixed

All good eh:oops:

Having seen the machine it looks like it will scrub up good.
Just need to get the bugger going first.

Now at playable stage but still have locked on lamps - will have to get some SCR's for that as don't have any of them here, may get some from pinball mania, tho I do have a board I could rob them off here.
About 6 dozen lamps added/replaced.Used up most my stock of bolts/screws to attach the posts to the game.
Changed all four top rollovers as 3 of the 4 were damaged/cracked.Changed four components to fix the locked on coil:)And now have displays all working without flicker, and got the sound working!
Re-rubbered-in black. Most do white,as I normally do with most games, tho think it MAY be better in black.

Upon closer inspection a fair bit of playfield wear but pretty good touch up tbh,two areas just blacked out,but not too bad.

Main problems now are just star rollovers being temperamental, but still have 3 locked on lamps - will have to get some SCR's for that as don't have any of them here, may get some from pinball mania, tho I do have a board I could rob them off here, plus 4 lamps not working.
Also drop targets need work doing, but it is deffo playable:clap:

Need some metal posts and bumper caps, but will do a wanted thread for that

What was wrong with the sound in the end?

Yeah it's not the same without pictures.
We all like to see some pinball porn.

Chris I have the bits here, remember to shoot me an email and will bring to Play

That feature used to set our dog off when the machine was left idling. She was smart enough to realise that none of the family was playing the machine.

Now just have two problems to fix after changing U1 fixed a load of lamp problems(cheers Chester Pete:thumbs:).
One should be easy the 40k bonus

Other problem:hmm: - when lh flipper is activated have sound crackle interference.Guesses are changing diodes or adding caps to flipper?

Plus maybe re-route the speaker cable(s). Perhaps disconnect each speaker in turn to see if it's on all speakers or just the one...? Caps on speakers?
