Iron Maiden: Too clean = too fast?!

So a snapped rubber finally got me around to partially stripping down and cleaning my recently-acquired IMDN Pro... the rubbers were pretty manky and I wasn't a fan of the bouncy multi-coloured rubbers and posts, so I swapped them all out for standard black ones. Cleaned up the ramps, bulbs, plastics and playfield, I also knocked up some new apron cards to replace the paper ones. However since I cleaned it all up, the bl**dy thing is even faster and harder to play 🤯 so much so now that when I hit the RH ramp, 50% of the time the ball flies round so fast it shoots right out and off the end into the glass, shooter lane or apron/drain 😬 Any ideas on how to solve this??

This happened to mine too, the balls were flying off the right ramp. I loosened the right ramp slightly which seems to now absorb some of the ball speed.

This also happened to me in both Star Wars and Big Buck Hunter after a strip down and clean / wax.

I gave them both two coats of wax and bloody hell, they were playing fast! As above, just keep playing it and it will clam down.

I don’t think I will wax much in the future, just a foam clean and bit of Novux.

I just used Novus 2 to clean it. Hadn't thought of turning down flipper power (these damn fancy post-1990s machines eh), I will try that thanks. Will bear in mind loosening the ramp too as a backup but sounds like that might loosen further over time and become an issue in itself?
