Installing blank coin door (Taxi)

Hey all, I’ve purchased a blank coin door for my Taxi refurb and could do with some advice on what to do with the original wiring.

I got the game in Germany and it has its original 3 slot Deutsche Mark door in it, so there’s lots of extra wiring going to the coin mechanisms (1) and (2) in the pic, none of which I will need.

Anyone got any tips on how to finish the wiring for the new coin door?

I’ve also just noticed that there are no screw holes for the service menu buttons on the back of the new coin door, so will have to get creative with that too.

I have been successful in glueing brackets ro doors with construction adhesive. Works well for me. On cables: separate the loom and pull them back into the cabinet and out of the plug.

So I’ve taken the door out and detached the service buttons and plug…

Is it now just a case of removing any coin mech wires from the plug thereby leaving only the service buttons wired to the plug, or are there wires attached to the coin mech that need to remain even with a blank coin door? (as I type this it feels like a silly question, but you never know…!)

This is what we use but it’s pretty much permanent. The recent more environmentally friendly tiger seal takes a little longer to cure than it used to. (Best left overnight). But once its cured it really bonds😆available in coin door black😎

My Taxi coin door is also a German variant I could get the screw thread and pitch if you wanted to order them up?
