Hey just got Indianapolis 500 machine in great condition only thing is the pit stop diverter doesn't appear to working. Was working before being shipped. The cool test doesn't appear to activate it. Wondering if any of the forum members out there have any suggestions. Doesn't appear to be a loose wire.

Anybody any ideas on this one? The machine came from me so i am obviously very concerned that there is a problem with it. Its 1 coil thats not firing. Was working spot on the morning it was shipped. I would imagine if it was a fuse it would take out more than just one coil??

Check all connectors are firmly seated in the backbox. If still not resolved then with the power off take the balls out and lift the playfield and have a closer look at the coil wiring and measure it's resistance.

Was the backbox removed for transport ? Or just folded down ?

If other coils are firing, I would say the most likely thing is a physical connection. Something that has been shifted when the game was transported

Most logical as per @Moonraker is a connection in the backbox as when the game transported the backbox will have been hinged down. Wiggle the connectors on the solenoid driver board gently to make sure they are seated properly.

If this does not cure it I would suggest you look at the coil itself. Has a wire fallen off due to the soldered joint failing ?

it could also be a jumper wire on the plugs for the solenoid board. Some of the connectors on the solenoid board have loops on them. When I moved my addams family, one of these loops fell off. Have a good look about and see if a 2" long bit of wire is lying around, if so, you may need someone who has this game to tell you where it should go
