Indiana Jones returning to factory settings

Hi all I only have 2 SS games one Indiana Jones. It had a replacement CPU around 4 years ago and is fitted with a Ni-Cad battery. that seems all good. I have checked the solder connections of the battery to the CPU and is all good and reads just over 4 volts. Problem is that when powered off it returns to factory settings intermittently it may be ok for a Hr, day, week Not being well versed in electronic machines too much, not too sure where else to look. I have checked all the ICs and DIL sockets the RAM does have a socket so am considering an NVRAM. Any other ideas much appreciated

Cheers

Rich

I had the same on my BSD and I changed the RAM and it solved it. I do remember checking first if there was voltage on a pin on the RAM when the game was off and there wasn’t telling me the RAM was corrupt.
You already have it socketed, so the next part is easy enough.
