In Progress Indiana Jones and the last cabinet

So with a baby on the way it was do or do not (there is no try).

Indiana Jones arrived in the usual faded condition you find most in. It also had it's fair share of hacks and burn outs so I started there.





Plenty of hacks to work through and repair. Chock blocks are the bane of shortcut hackery for me. I re-crimped and added new headers.

Next up gut out the cab

Next up, fully sand down the cab/backbox and apply primer and paint





















Then onto decal application

Spent what few hours I could getting the cabinet parts back in.

Prepped all the bolts for a respray





Installed new braid (my back hurts)



Made some decent progress on the cab and backbox.

For some reason there were slotted #6 wood screws...



Had to ditch em.



Bought new chrome legs, you can see why.





Forgot to say I restored the back, I managed to keep the old manufacturer sticker alive.



Something satisfying knowing the decals won't wrinkle the metal thickness counts. I always use Retro Arcade Specialists stock of them as the thickness of others has been lacking which makes the whole point null and void.



I can't put the playfield back in till the weekend so I'll focus my attention on the backbox on Friday.
