It dawned on me today that I am deeper into pinball than John Holmes was into his favourite f**k buddy during one of his porn movies, I am all the way in, all day, every day, how deep are you??

in a 6 week period coming up I have the DPO. A Surrey league meet, A UK league meet.Scotland/Special when lit and the Christmas Cracker.

refurbing 2 or 3 pinball machines for a company, as well as practice and maintenance to my/ Matts' machines .... so just a little then

We wouldn't do it if we didn't love it.

Deep, Deep, Deep.

I did have a realy nice games room but now I only have room for a few machines set up most are stood on their ****. Plus I have two machines waiting to go back to their owners after being refurbed and repaired one awaiting repair and three awaiting redecaling.

Not much space for a games room , just a repair/ refurb shop.

Don't you just love Pinball.

im quite obsessed if in honest but in the two years that i have been owning pins i have managed to stick to one at a time!

everyone keeps telling me it'll never last but i have been good up to now!

is there a cure??

I've only properly been into pinball for 6 months since buying my first one back in May but since then I bought a second 3 months later and spend a frankly silly amount of spare time either playing or tinkering. I've run out of space for a 3rd so am now looking at moving house to get a bigger games room

These are the early symptoms of the contagion, it gets worse, sometimes really quick (if you have a big house and lots of money) or can be a gradual deterioration (garage and limited budget) Pfizer will no doubt come up with a vaccine once it's financially viable, remember S.A.R.S and swine flu

Well I just committed to paying £6k+ for one table! I could have bought a car for that!

I think that's a good move in a lot of ways, unless you want something specific, cars will come and go and will also depreciate, in 12 months the car which you placed on hold due to the WOZ purchase will be that much cheaper than ATM, the WOZ however will not come and go, it will more than likely be available for a limited time and then you are at the mercy of owners who want to part with one, if and when, basically the only way to guarantee owning one is to proceed with the plan.

Me and a mate were out years ago, I was single on the pull, he was with his girlfriend, I was still single at the end of the night on this particular occasion having a good old moan and his response was "if in doubt......bring thy own " same goes with the WOZ, "if in doubt, purchase thy own"

Good investment and I am sure you will have a lot more friends from the pinball comunity wanting to play the machine.

When is the NIB unwraping party by the way.

Production begins March 13th. Will take around 8 weeks to get 1000 machines produced. Then got to get it shipped. So I'm looking at around June time I think

Yesturday, all i did was pick up 2 new pins! about 10 hours driving, i didn't have the money or the space, Sarah is starting to get seriously ****ed off! You know you've got issues when whilst planning any possible house purchase, your partner wants good schools, shops, family and friends nearby, etc, and all i want is room for more tables and a bar!!!

My pin obsession came crashing this week as EVERY SINGLE BLOODY MACHINE I OWN IS BROKEN and requires more life sucking time to sort them out...........ARGGHHHH!!!

That said, i'm in real deep in terms of how much i have blown on this hobby. Worth every penny!

On the plus side at least they won't die, whilst I was breaking down my marine reef system and selling piece by piece I had a total disaster due to a ****e courier service and an oversight by myself. I was selling the stock on ebay, the rock was about £10 a kilo, that was up 1st sold in 10kg batches, the 1st batch was removed from the system 6.am ready for collection and next day delivery, at about 4.pm I decided they were not coming and returned it to the system without thinking, I woke up in the night to an almighty stink, the returned living rock had dead organisms on it as a result of being out of the water, this wiped the whole tank out £1000’s pounds worth of stock all dead, everything in that pic and more converted into orange Tango goo, I was so gutted, not about the money but all those things I had been caring for since years, it was heartbreaking, to add insult to injury the courier turned up 10 days later.

Life can be a hard lesson

This ain’t a bad hobby:)

I was balls deep, now I'm just on the surface splashing along. I don't play enough, can't be ****d to refurb a machine that's been waiting since early September and trying to get machines gone so that I can have space. I'm sure there'll be an upturn at some point but right now I just can't be bothered

We all lose a little mojo now an again but it does return so look forward to that.

I guess you know when you are in too deep when you start looking everywhere to see where it might be possible to put another pin;)
