Hi, i purchased a hs2 geataway some time back. It was sold as not working so I know nothing about it.
Checked plug fuse and ok. Inside coin door the fuse in the metal silver box was blown replaced with 5a slow blow he same as what was in there. Blew immediately on power up.
Any idea where to look next for the problem or short?
Thanks
Steve

Thanks for the picture. I will take a look tomorrow. Do these parts fail often?

Thanks

They do, getting old now. Failed on my TAF where the pic is from which Paul kindly labelled.

I would look at either the varistor OR the Filter.

However - might be worth disconnecting the FAR side (Board side) from the transformer and powering up first to see if it still blows...

Sorted now. Thanks for th pictures. I replaced the two W rosters and the line filter. It now tries to boot but the cpu is badly corroded so that’s the next thing to replace.

Thanks
Steve
