How do you change button lights?

How on earth do you change the bulbs on the start and bonus buttons on bally Williams games? Can't figure out how to get the switches off let alone the bulbs

The bulb holder is really tight in the outer button part, just grip it tight and pull whilst wiggling and it should pop out. I assume you are replacing them with LEDs, the trouble I've had is my LEDs are slightly taller than the original lamps so the button hits the LED before making the switch. Went back to original lamps.

If you use SMD led's (usually the more expensive ones) they are much shorter as the have no cover, and should fit

Good point Paul, I only tried the GI style frosted lamps.
